Frequently Asked Questions

Open play is a casual, drop-in format where players of all levels rotate in and out of games, usually mixing with different partners and opponents. We typically divide our open play by levels so that beginners are playing with beginners, and advanced with advanced. 

It’s the easiest way to meet people and get lots of games without needing to schedule a group of friends ahead of time.

You do not need to have a partner, come solo and make new friends!

We offer open play every day. You can find open slots here. 

To prevent long-wait times, we require members and guests to sign up ahead of time for open play. This helps us ensure a reasonable amount of players during our busiest times.  

Note that open play might be affected by holidays, closures, special events, and other programming. 

We split open play into different skill levels (by DUPR) so that everyone can enjoy great games.

Our open play levels are: 

• Beginner: <3.0 
• Intermediate: 3.0-3.49
• Upper intermediate: 3.5-3.99
• Advanced: 3.7+
• Premier: 4.2+
• Elite: 4.7+

We will enforce these levels and move people around at our sole discretion to ensure competitive and fun play at all levels. 

If you do not have a DUPR, please estimate to the best of your ability or join one of our DUPR scrambles. Please do not overestimate your DUPR as this lowers the quality of play for everyone. We want everyone to have a great time!

Members can join unlimited open plays for free. (Note that you will be charged a fee if you don't show, per our policy). 

For guests, open play starts at only $5 (the best value in town)! 

During peak times (nights and weekends) open play for guests is $15-20.

We want everyone to have a good time, so we have simple rules:

• Be courteous and sportsmanlike
• Games till 11, win by 2
• If your designated court has 8+ players, all 4 players leave the court. If not, winners stay. 

As a member, you can cancel your open play sign-up up to 24 hours before for free. 

Guests do not get a refund for open play if they don't show or reschedule. 

To prevent members (who get unlimited open play for free) from signing up to multiple sessions and not showing or canceling last minute, we will charge a $5 late cancel and a $7 no-show fee, as outlined here.  

Absolutely! We offer a Free Intro to Pickleball monthly. 

We also offer lessons if you are interested in taking your game to the next level.
