There are smaller indoor spots around central Austin, but they're tighter on courts and programming. Most Austinites who try both end up keeping their Pickleland membership.
What's traffic like driving from Austin to Pickleland? +
I-35 through downtown is the painful stretch — avoid 4-7pm weekdays. MoPac North → SH-45 East skips the downtown crunch and stays steady most of the day. Weekend mornings are smooth either way.

Is Pickleland kid-friendly for Austin families? +
Yes. Our Junior Academy (ages 7+) runs Mon & Wed — ages 7–12 from 4–5pm and 12+ from 5–6pm — plus a summer camp Mon–Fri 1–4pm. Homeschool open play runs Tue & Thu 1–4pm ($5/person, free for members). Birthday parties available too.

No — anyone can book a court or join open play as a guest. A membership just unlocks free or discounted open play, 7-day priority booking, and member perks.
I've never played before — can I still come? +
Absolutely. Anyone can start with all-levels open play and beginner coaching, and we offer a free intro to pickleball for first-timers. New to the game? Start with our first-timer guide.
Do you rent paddles and equipment? +
Yes — paddle rentals are $5 (basic) or $8 (pro), and ball-machine rentals are $15/hr. Just bring court shoes and you're set.

We're open Mon–Fri 8am–10pm and Sat–Sun 8am–8pm, with free parking out front (100+ spots) at 21427 Martin Lane, Pflugerville.
