A day at the academy
It's more than drills — it's where kids make friends. Between games, water breaks, and team huddles, your kid lands in a crew their own age and actually looks forward to coming back. Homeschooling? It doubles as social time — see our homeschool program.

Parent questions, answered.
What age can my child start pickleball at Pickleland?+
Kids can start at age 7. Our Beginner/Intermediate group is built for ages 7–12, and the Advanced group is for ages 12+ (or younger players with coach approval). Every level is welcome — no experience needed to start.
My child has never played — is that okay?+
Absolutely. The Beginner/Intermediate group starts with the basics — grip, serves, dinking, and footwork — in a fun, social setting. Brand-new players are the norm. The easiest way to start is a free trial class.
When do the junior pickleball sessions meet?+
Year-round sessions run Mondays & Wednesdays: Beginner/Intermediate (ages 7–12) from 4–5pm and Advanced (ages 12+) from 5–6pm. Your child can come once or twice a week. In summer, we also run full-day camp Monday–Friday, 1–4pm.
Do you offer a kids' summer pickleball camp?+
Yes — our 2026 Summer Camp runs June through August, Monday–Friday from 1–4pm, indoors and air-conditioned. You can sign up by the week: one week, the whole summer, or anything in between.
Where are you located?+
Pickleland is at 21427 Martin Lane, Pflugerville, TX 78660 — just north of Austin. Our courts are fully indoor and air-conditioned, so kids play comfortably all summer.
Can my child try a class first?+
Yes — we offer a free trial class so your child can experience a session before committing. To set it up, just give us a call at (737) 265-7002 and let us know which day works.
Is it a good way for kids to make friends?+
Very much so. Between games, drills, and team huddles, kids land in a crew their own age — it's as much social time as it is skill-building. It's also popular with homeschool families; see our homeschool program.
