The 290 corridor west of Austin has almost no indoor pickleball — outdoor only, weather-dependent. Pickleland is the serious indoor club players drive to.
Hill Country summers fry outdoor courts by 10am. Inside it's 72° and the ball flies the same in July as it does in January.
Most Dripping Springs regulars stack their visit with a Domain stop or a brewery run on the way home — turns the drive into a half-day out.
