Tournament questions.
How many pickleball tournaments does Pickleland run each year?+
16+ tournaments per year — at least one every month — plus free in-house mini tournaments every week. It's the most consistent pickleball tournament series in Austin and Central Texas.
Are Pickleland's tournaments DUPR-rated?+
Most of our tournaments are DUPR-sanctioned, so your results move your rating. Some weekly mini tournaments are non-DUPR — each event listing on PlayByPoint says whether it's DUPR-recorded.
Do I need a partner to play in a doubles tournament?+
Not necessarily. Call us and let us know you're looking for a partner and we'll do our best to match you — we usually have other players looking too. You can also play a singles bracket or a scramble format, where partners rotate every round.
How do I register for an Austin pickleball tournament?+
All registration happens through PlayByPoint. Browse play.pickleland.com/programs, pick your event and division, sign in, and pay. We email a confirmation plus a reminder before the event.
Are tournaments open to non-members?+
Yes — every public tournament is open to anyone. Members get priority registration and discounted entry, and the weekly in-house mini tournaments are free for Unlimited members.
What skill levels and divisions can play?+
Tournaments are split into divisions by skill level — from beginner through advanced — so you're bracketed with players of similar ability. We run men's, women's, mixed doubles, singles, and team (MLP-style) formats.
Where are the tournaments held?+
At Pickleland's 100% indoor facility in Pflugerville (21427 Martin Lane), just north of Austin — premium courts, pro lighting, and AC year-round. No weather delays, no reschedules.
What can I win?+
Prizes vary by event — select tournaments award medals and custom trophies across divisions.
