Do I need a partner?＋
No. Singles pickleball is built for solo players. Come alone and rotate in at singles open play, sign up for a singles mixer, or enter a singles tournament — you'll always have people to play with. No partner required.
What if I just want to play, not date?＋
Then singles open play is for you. It's drop-in pickleball where you come solo and rotate in with whoever's there — zero pressure, just games. The dating mixer is a separate, optional event, so you can keep it purely about pickleball.
Is there a singles dating event?＋
Yes — the Singles Dating Mixer is pickleball-meets-dating: meet other single players over a few games in a relaxed, fun setting. It's optional and separate from regular open play, so you only join if mingling is what you're after. (More on our singles dating page.)
Can I compete solo?＋
Yes. Pickleland runs singles tournaments (such as a Wednesday singles tournament) where you enter on your own and play 1-on-1 — a great way to test your game competitively without needing to find a partner.
What level do I need?＋
All levels are welcome. Open play is sorted by DUPR level so you're matched with players close to your ability, whether you're a beginner or advanced. New to the sport? Start with a free intro, then jump in.
