The best Selkirk paddle for most intermediate players is the OMNI, an all-court foam paddle whose perimeter weights you can move by hand. If you want maximum power, it’s the LABS Project Boomstik. If you’re buying a first serious paddle, start in Selkirk’s SLK line with the Geo or the Valkyrie.
Pickleland’s pro shop carries seven Selkirk and SLK models. We don’t lab-test paddles, so every number below is from Selkirk’s own spec sheets, checked on October 9, 2026. Selkirk is one of the few brands that publishes swing weight and twist weight, which makes its lineup unusually easy to compare on paper.

Source: Selkirk's published specs for each model on selkirk.com, checked October 9, 2026. Swing weight and twist weight are Selkirk's stated averages. Every paddle in the table lists a 4.25 in grip circumference. Selkirk publishes no swing or twist weight for the HALO Power, so we don't supply one.
To sort these against the other brands on our wall, use the paddle specs table. To put two or three side by side, use the compare tool.
How to read the table
Selkirk builds most of this lineup on two outlines. The widebody is 15.95 × 8 inches with a 5.6 inch handle. The elongated is 16.5 × 7.45 inches with a 5.8 inch handle. Six of the seven models use one or both. Only the HALO Power differs, with a 16 × 7.85 inch Max shape and a much shorter 4.85 inch handle.
Shape drives the swing and twist numbers more than the model does. Every 16mm elongated paddle here lists a 118 swing weight, whether it’s the OMNI, the Boomstik, the ERA Power or the Dauntless. The widebodies sit between 109 and 112. Twist weight runs the other way: 7 to 8.2 on the widebodies, 6.6 to 7.2 on the elongated shapes. Swing weight is how heavy a paddle feels in motion, and twist weight is how well it resists turning on an off-center hit. Our paddle weight guide explains both.
So choose the shape first. If you want quick hands and a stable face at the kitchen line, look at the widebody rows. If you want reach and a longer handle for a two-handed backhand, look at the elongated rows. Then pick the model by core and feel.
Selkirk OMNI
The OMNI is Selkirk’s all-court foam paddle, and Selkirk rates it for intermediate to advanced players. The core is PureFoam in a layout Selkirk calls ReactCore, under a multi-layer T700 carbon face with the InfiniGrit surface.
What sets it apart is the weighting. Selkirk says you can remove and rearrange the perimeter weights by hand, so the published 112 (widebody) and 118 (elongated) swing weights are a starting point, not a fixed number. It carries Selkirk’s limited lifetime warranty for the original owner in the United States, with registration required.
Suits: players who want one paddle for drives and resets, and who like to tinker. Our Selkirk OMNI review rounds up what independent testers measured.
Selkirk LABS Project Boomstik
The Boomstik is the power paddle of the group. Its BoomCore is PureFoam surrounded by an EVA Power Ring, under three layers of T700 carbon. The widebody’s 8.2 twist weight is the highest in this table, and the elongated’s 7.2 is the highest of the elongated shapes.
It uses the same two outlines as the OMNI, and the same published swing weights. The practical difference is that the Boomstik’s weights are fixed: Selkirk describes its MOI Tuning System as semi-permanent and warns that removing it could cause damage. Selkirk rates it intermediate to advanced, with a limited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser.
Suits: players with a reliable soft game who want drives and counters to end points. See the Selkirk Boomstik review for the testers’ numbers, or compare the OMNI and Boomstik widebodies directly.
SLK ERA Power
SLK is Selkirk’s second line. The ERA Power is its power model, and the only paddle here that mixes face materials: Selkirk describes a 3-layered face of woven fiberglass and T700 raw carbon fiber. The core is polypropylene surrounded by EVA foam, which Selkirk calls the Dynamic Fusion Core.
The widebody has the lowest published swing weight in the table at 109, so it’s the easiest of these paddles to get around quickly. The elongated sits at 118 with a 6.6 twist weight, the lowest here, so it gives up some stability for reach. Selkirk rates the ERA Power intermediate to advanced, and it carries SLK’s limited 1-year warranty.
We carry the ERA Power in several colorways. The numbers above are Selkirk’s for the standard widebody and elongated builds. We have left the Sunset colorway out of this guide because we have not confirmed its specs.
Suits: aggressive players who like to drive the ball and want a honeycomb paddle instead of full foam. Our guide to paddle core materials covers that difference.
SLK Dauntless
The Dauntless brings a foam core into the SLK line. Selkirk’s SoloCore is a one-piece PureFoam core with a perimeter cutout it calls IsoFlex, under a T700 raw carbon fiber face. Selkirk describes it as an all-court paddle with a control lean and rates it beginner to advanced.
We stock the elongated shape. Its published 118 swing weight and 6.9 twist weight match the OMNI Elongated exactly, in a paddle that starts lighter (7.7 to 8.1 oz against 7.9 to 8.2 oz). Like the Boomstik, it uses a semi-permanent MOI Tuning System. Warranty is SLK’s limited 1-year.
Suits: improving players who want a foam core and more control than power.
SLK Geo
The Geo is the only 14mm paddle in this group. It pairs a T700-grade raw carbon fiber face with a polypropylene honeycomb core. Selkirk rates it beginner to intermediate and pitches it at open play, social leagues and a first tournament.
The thinner core shows up in the numbers. At 113, the elongated Geo’s swing weight is five points under every 16mm elongated paddle in the table, so you get the 16.5 inch length and 5.8 inch handle without the heaviest swing. If you’re unsure about core thickness, read 13mm vs. 16mm paddles first.
Suits: newer players who want an elongated carbon-face paddle that isn’t a handful to swing.
SLK Valkyrie
The Valkyrie is the fiberglass paddle of the lineup: a Fiberflex fiberglass face over a 16mm polypropylene honeycomb core, in the widebody outline only. Selkirk rates it beginner to intermediate and calls it an approachable all-court paddle.
Its numbers are the most moderate in the table: 110 swing weight, 7 twist weight, 7.9 to 8.1 oz. Nothing about it is extreme, which is the point of a first paddle. For how fiberglass plays against carbon, see carbon fiber vs. fiberglass.
Suits: players moving up from a starter-set paddle who mostly play doubles.
SLK HALO Power
Selkirk describes the HALO Power as an easy-to-use power paddle for beginner to advanced players. The one we carry is the Max shape: 16 × 7.85 inches, a 16mm polypropylene honeycomb core and an 18k UltraWeave carbon fiber face.
Two things to know before you pick it. The 4.85 inch handle is the shortest in this guide by three quarters of an inch, so it fits one-handed players better than two-handers. And Selkirk publishes no swing or twist weight for it, so there’s nothing to compare on those lines. If that matters to you, you can measure a paddle at home with our swing weight calculator.
Suits: one-handed players who want a wide carbon face and a short handle.
Which Selkirk paddle should you pick

The OMNI and Boomstik use multi-layer T700 carbon faces with the InfiniGrit surface and carry a limited lifetime warranty. The SLK paddles carry a limited 1-year warranty and use a wider mix of materials, from fiberglass on the Valkyrie to a foam core on the Dauntless.
Which Selkirk paddle has the lowest swing weight?
Of the paddles we stock, the SLK ERA Power Widebody, at 109 per Selkirk’s spec sheet. The SLK Valkyrie Widebody is next at 110. Among the elongated shapes, the SLK Geo is lowest at 113.
Which Selkirk paddle is the most stable on off-center hits?
