The SHO 16mm (Control/Touch) by the numbers
Each bar places this paddle between the lowest and highest figure among the 41 paddle models on our wall. The dot is this paddle, the tick is the average. These are the makers' published specs, not lab measurements.
Buy it if
- You want a thicker core. At 16 mm it sits at the thick end, which usually means a softer feel and more control.
- You hit a two-handed backhand. The 5.65-inch handle leaves room for both hands.
- You want reach. It is 16.75 inches long with a 7.25-inch face, the long, narrow layout singles players and former tennis players tend to like.
Skip it if
- You want the quicker pop of a thinner 13 or 14 mm core.
- You want the biggest sweet spot you can get. The 7.25-inch face is one of the narrowest we stock.

The facility is really nice and the staff has already been incredible! There's 9 beautiful indoor courts with fencing and an upstairs mezzanine with games. The nets are very nice brand new Selkirk ones. Looking forward to being a member and to league play!
The courts look, feel, and play great! AC was blasting keeping us all cool.
Nice setup for players at any level. Would recommend to anyone looking for great pickleball!
