Alix Truong is one of the fastest risers on the PPA Tour. She started playing pickleball with her father during the 2020 lockdown, skipped the usual path straight to college to turn pro, and by 2025 was winning titles across Asia and collecting a breakout-player award.
Here is what we could verify about her background, her results, her paddle, and a transparent estimate of what she has earned. Where numbers are estimates, the inputs are shown so you can check them.
Early Life and Background
Truong grew up playing tennis, coached by her father, John. In the summer of 2020, when she was 16 and the family was living in the Washington, D.C. area, the two started playing pickleball together during the COVID-19 lockdown and began entering local tournaments, where she won a string of amateur events (Pickleball.com).
She soon outgrew her dad as a partner and moved to Utah for stronger competition. Right after high school she told her parents she wanted to play pickleball professionally rather than go straight to college, and they came around to it. She has kept studying on the side: in 2023 George Mason University profiled her as a student taking online courses while she toured (George Mason University).
Pickleball is a family affair for the Truongs. Her brother, Jonathan Truong, is also a touring pro, and the siblings have won PPA Tour Asia events together.
Rise on the Pro Tour
According to her PPA Tour profile, Truong turned pro in 2022 and signed with the PPA in 2024. The tour describes her as the top Vietnamese American player on its roster and one of the smallest women competing (it lists her at 5’3”), with a game built on speed, reach and competitiveness. She is right-handed, plays singles, women’s doubles and mixed, and has medaled in the US, Australia and Asia.
Her biggest results have come on PPA Tour Asia:
- MB Vietnam Open, September 2025. She and Meghan Dizon won women’s doubles 11-3, 11-0 in Ho Chi Minh City, her first PPA gold (Pickleball.com).
- Hangzhou Open, December 2025. A double: women’s doubles gold with Zoey Wang and mixed doubles gold with Federico Staksrud, her fifth and sixth medals in Asia that year (Pickleball.com).
- Kuala Lumpur Cup, September 2026. Women’s doubles gold alongside Jessie Irvine, coming back from a game down to win 5-11, 11-5, 11-6 (Pickleball.com).
That 2025 run earned her the Dink Awards’ Women’s Breakout Player of the Year. As of October 2026 the PPA ranks her No. 16 in its women’s world ranking. In Major League Pickleball, Miami Pickleball Club kept her on its roster for 2026 rather than sending her back into the draft (MLP).
What Paddle Does Alix Truong Use
Truong plays a Kamito Alpha-X, the paddle listed on her PPA Tour profile as of October 2026. Kamito is a Vietnam-based sports brand, and she moved to it for 2026 (The Dink). In April 2026 she debuted the partnership with Kamito apparel and said the brand would produce paddles and apparel under her name, including a signature paddle in an “Alix Truong collection” (Pickleball.com).
Pickleland doesn’t carry Kamito, so we can’t sell you her paddle. If you are looking for something light and quick in the hands, which is what a smaller, speed-first player like Truong tends to value, browse what we stock on our paddles page. Shop items are for pickup at the club in Pflugerville or local delivery within 10 miles.
Alix Truong Net Worth: Our Estimate
Our estimate: roughly $300,000 to $700,000. Truong has not disclosed her finances and no reliable outlet has published her net worth, so any precise figure online is a guess. Here is how we got to ours.
- Tour contract and prize money. DinkBank, an independent earnings tracker, estimates her PPA Tour earnings at about $773,000 from 2023 through 2026 so far. Most of that is a base contract retainer it puts at $250,000 a year in 2024 and 2025; prize money is a smaller share (DinkBank). These are DinkBank’s estimates, not numbers released by the PPA or Truong.
- Major League Pickleball. Her MLP pay with Miami has not been disclosed, so we leave it out.
- Sponsorships. The Kamito deal, including a signature line, is private. We leave it out of the base and use it to justify the top of the range.
- From earnings to net worth. We assume a touring pro keeps 40 to 60 percent of gross after federal tax, travel and coaching costs. She lives in Florida, which has no state income tax. That turns about $773,000 in estimated tour earnings into roughly $310,000 to $465,000 before any sponsorship income.
In short: a mid six-figure net worth is plausible for a 21-year-old who has been on a PPA contract since 2024, but the inputs are estimates and the range is deliberately wide. For how the very top of the sport compares, see the net worth of the top pickleball pros.
Sponsors
- Kamito: paddle and apparel partner from 2026, with a signature collection.
- Miami Pickleball Club: her Major League Pickleball team for 2026.
Personal Life
Truong’s PPA bio lists her residence as Delray Beach, Florida, where she trains and focuses on nutrition and recovery. Her family remains central to her story: her father was her first coach and first partner, and her brother Jonathan plays alongside her on tour.
