A few years ago there was almost nowhere in Austin to play pickleball indoors. Now there are more than ten paid clubs between downtown, Cedar Park, Pflugerville and the Hill Country. They range from 3 courts to 16, and from members-only rooftops to drop-in open play for a few dollars.
This guide covers the paid, dedicated clubs only: every one gets its own section with the address, court count, hours and prices we could confirm on the club’s own website. We run one of them (Pickleland), so we’re biased. Read our entry with that in mind. We’ve also said where other clubs beat us.

Below, the clubs are listed roughly by size, with ours first.
1. Pickleland (Pflugerville)
Pickleland was built for pickleball from scratch, not converted from a warehouse or gym. It has nine climate-controlled indoor courts with three-color professional surfaces, high ceilings and proper spacing between courts. Those are the things that decide whether a lob is playable or hits a beam. It was voted Best Club in Austin by Austin Pickleball Update and 750 players.
What sets us apart is the programming. Open play runs daily and is sorted by DUPR level, so you get placed into games at your level instead of hunting for a fourth. Coaches run group clinics and private lessons, and there are leagues and mini tournaments. Most weeks there’s also a themed social, such as Ladies’ Night, Date Night, Desi Nights, Pride Mixer, EDM Night or Social Sundays. That’s why a lot of members joined. If you’re new to town and want an Austin pickleball club where you’ll actually meet people, that matters more than the court surface.

2. Austin Pickle Ranch (North Austin)
Austin Pickle Ranch is the biggest dedicated pickleball facility in Austin proper. Its Braker location has 16 indoor courts plus 2 outdoor. Braker is now its only club. The downtown rooftop location on West Sixth Street closed in June 2024.
There are two memberships. Wrangler is $99/mo with no initiation fee and includes free off-peak open play. Trailboss is $149/mo with a $299 initiation fee, waived if you pay annually, and includes open play at any time plus two guest passes a month. You don’t need a membership to play here: non-members can book courts up to 5 days ahead. A $10 Learn to Play session covers a group lesson, court time and a rental paddle. On court count alone, it beats us.

3. Apex Pickleball Clubs (Cedar Park)
Apex opened in February 2026 and has the most amenities of any club in the metro. It has 16 climate-controlled indoor courts, two of them championship courts. There are PPR-certified coaches, a youth academy, locker rooms with showers, a party room, and PickleDilly’s, a full restaurant and bar with court-side service.
It’s also one of the most expensive clubs on this list. Memberships are $149.95/mo for a single, $249.95/mo for a couple and $499.95/mo for a four-person group, with annual options. You don’t have to join to play here. Guests can drop in for 2 hours of open play for $17.50, and court rentals for non-members are $30/hr off-peak or $42/hr peak (members pay 20% less).

4. Pickleball Kingdom (Pflugerville)
Pickleball Kingdom is a franchise club just down the road from us at 1900 E Howard Ln. It has 11 indoor courts plus 2 practice half courts, split across two buildings. Building E is open 24 hours a day, which makes it one of the few places in the metro for very early or late-night play.
It has the widest spread of plans in the area, and some are cheap. Weekender is $58.97/mo, Morning Crew is $63.97/mo, Kingdom Play is $97.97/mo and the all-access ACE plan is $124.97/mo. Every plan has a $25 initiation fee. Non-members can join open play for $5–$20 a session, depending on the time slot.

5. The Picklr (Austin West and Oak Hill)
The Picklr is a national indoor pickleball franchise with two open Austin-area clubs. Both have climate-controlled courts, open play, DUPR-rated leagues and a pro shop, and both are open 6am–11pm daily. The memberships are the same at both: Play is $99/mo, Adult Unlimited $149/mo, Pro $189/mo and Family Unlimited $329/mo, with up to 15% off if you pay annually. A 15-day adult trial costs $30. Guests can buy a day pass at the front desk, but the clubs don’t publish the price.
Because it’s a franchise, the experience is standardized. You know roughly what you’ll get, but the programming and community depend on who runs each club.

6. TopShot (Cedar Park)
TopShot at 840 N. Vista Ridge Blvd has 14 courts in 30,000 sq ft of indoor space. Pickleball and badminton share those courts, so not all 14 are pickleball at any given time. It also has a full gym, showers, lockers, a mezzanine viewing area and a pro shop with paddle rentals.

A $15 guest pass gets you in for the day. Individual memberships start at $60/mo, but the site lists both $60 and $75 in different places. There’s a $60 adult initiation fee, and Early Bird and Weekender plans are $50/mo.

7. Eastside Paddle Club (East Austin)
Eastside Paddle Club on Springdale Road is the main East Austin club and one of the few with both indoor and outdoor courts: 6 indoor and 4 outdoor, according to its FAQ.
It’s built around members. Off-Peak is $84.99/mo with no initiation fee, Core is $134.99/mo with a $100 initiation fee, and Premier is $249.99/mo with a $200 initiation fee, all plus tax. Non-members can still book courts (about $20–$40/hr) and open play (about $15–$18) through the club’s app.

8. Pickle Pit Stop (Southwest Austin)
Pickle Pit Stop is a small indoor club on Nutty Brown Road, out past the Y at Oak Hill toward Dripping Springs. It has 3 air-conditioned courts. It’s the smallest club here, but the pricing is clear and it runs leagues, ladders, clinics and hosted games such as King of the Court.
Open play is $18 for a 2-hour session, and courts are $30/hr off-peak or $40/hr at peak. The Pit Pass membership is $89/mo for unlimited free open play and 24/7 access. Big Dill is $145/mo and adds free court hours, a guest pass and 20% off courts and leagues. There’s no long-term contract on either.

9. Waterloo Pickleball (Downtown)
Waterloo Pickleball started in 2020 when CrossFit Central coaches put up a court in the parking lot at 410 Pressler St. Now it’s a private downtown club with one indoor court and two outdoor courts, plus a gym and a recovery lounge. It runs weekly open play at two skill levels and private lessons.
It doesn’t publish its prices online, and with one indoor court it’s more of a community club than an indoor facility. If you live or work downtown, though, it’s very convenient.

10. Urban Pickleball Club (Downtown)
Urban Pickleball Club plays on the roof of a downtown parking garage at 300 San Antonio St. There’s a skyline view, but no roof and no A/C. It has 6 courts and is members-only: non-members can’t book a court by the hour, and guests can only play alongside a member. Dues aren’t published, so ask the club through its booking page or Instagram (@urbanpickleballatx).

11. Austin PickleHaus (Pflugerville)
Austin PickleHaus is the newest club in the area and our closest neighbor, at 18629 Weiss Lane near Lake Pflugerville. It has seven indoor courts, a cafe (lattes, matcha, smoothies, locally made baked goods) and the longest hours on this list: 7am to midnight, every day. It held a soft opening from September 25 to October 16, 2026, per Community Impact.

- Best for: late-night players and anyone who wants coffee with their game

Closed clubs you’ll still see listed
Old directories still list some clubs that have closed, so here they are:
- The Picklr Round Rock (3021 S I-35 Frontage Rd) has closed. Where its players go now.
- Austin Pickle Ranch’s rooftop (1717 W 6th St) closed in June 2024. The Braker location above is open.
Where we don’t win
We’d rather you pick the right club than drive past three others to reach us. Pickleland is not the best choice for everyone:
- Location. We’re in Pflugerville. From Zilker, South Congress or Oak Hill we’re a long drive, and Eastside, Waterloo, The Picklr Oak Hill or Pickle Pit Stop will be closer.
- Size. Austin Pickle Ranch and Apex each have 16 indoor courts to our 9.
- Late nights. We close at 10pm on weekdays and 8pm on weekends. Pickleball Kingdom’s Building E is open 24/7, and Apex, TopShot and The Picklr are open until 11pm.
- Food and amenities. Apex has a full restaurant, and Apex and TopShot have locker rooms with showers. We sell drinks on site, but we’re a pickleball club, not a country club.
How to actually pick one
Court count and price matter less than two things most people don’t think about until month three.
Does open play get you into games? A club with 16 courts and no organized rotation can leave you standing around longer than a 9-court club that sorts players by DUPR level and runs a paddle stack. Ask how open play works before you join.
Will you know anyone in six weeks? This is the real difference between a facility and a club. Socials, leagues, mixers and mini tournaments are what turn court time into a group of people who text you about Thursday. If you’re joining partly to meet people in Austin, give this a lot of weight.
Then narrow it down by geography, because you’ll go more often if it’s close:
- Downtown: Urban or Waterloo
- East Austin: Eastside
- North Austin: Austin Pickle Ranch
- Northwest Austin and Four Points: The Picklr Austin West
- Cedar Park and Leander: Apex or TopShot
- Oak Hill, Dripping Springs and southwest: The Picklr Oak Hill or Pickle Pit Stop
- Pflugerville, Round Rock and Hutto: Pickleland, Pickleball Kingdom or Austin PickleHaus
Tips for playing indoor pickleball in Austin
- Book ahead for evenings. Weekday evenings and weekend mornings fill up first at almost every club on this list.
- Play off-peak if you can. Most clubs, including Pickle Ranch, Pickle Pit Stop, Eastside and Pickleland, charge less before 5pm on weekdays. If you play mostly mornings, a daytime plan such as our $59/mo Morning membership costs much less than an unlimited one.
- Try before you join. Almost every club sells a drop-in, day pass or trial. Play two or three sessions at the times you’d actually go before you pay an initiation fee.
- Do the membership math. If you play more than once a week, a membership usually works out cheaper than paying per visit, and it often comes with discounted courts and earlier booking.
- Mix formats. Leagues, clinics and social play will improve your game faster than open play alone.
